SENATOR ANDREW LANZA, ASSEMBLYMAN MIKE CUSICK, CHASI & TYSA HOSTING OPIATE OVERDOSE PREVENTION EVENT

Senator Andrew Lanza, Assemblyman Michael Cusick, Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI) and Tackling Youth Substance Abuse (TYSA) are hosting an opiate overdose prevention event at New Dorp High School on Tuesday December 5th at 7:00 p.m. to teach residents how to respond in the event of an opiate overdose. 

Opioid antidote programs have been credited with saving dozens of lives in New York. CHASI will teach attendees how to recognize an overdose, what to do in the event of an overdose and how to administer Narcan. Upon completion of the course attendees will be certified to administer Narcan and will receive a free Narcan kit.
