SIUH names new head of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences

Timothy Sullivan, MD, has been appointed chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Staten Island University Hospital. In his new role, Dr. Sullivan will head a department that treats more than 1,450 inpatients and 23,000 outpatients annually through the hospital’s comprehensive mental health services, which includes substance abuse treatment.

Launched in October of 2015 by the White House, Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call to action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
