STATEN ISLAND- Yesterday, Senator Andrew J. Lanza had the privilege of welcoming New York State Senate Temporary President and Majority Leader John J. Flanagan to Staten Island. Hosted by The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, Senators Flanagan and Lanza met with Staten Island business leaders to focus on the many issues and opportunities facing small business owners.
Assemblyman Cusick Co-Sponsored Legislation, “New York Buy American Act”, Signed by Governor Cuomo
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the availability of up to $3.5 million for innovative research and development proposals to accelerate the use of electric vehicles, reduce the cost of installing and operating charging stations, and provide recommendations on how they can be used for grid resiliency. This investment and efforts to increase the use of electric vehicles support Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's nation-leading goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 40 percent by 2030.
On Saturday, December 2nd, Assemblyman Michael Cusick (D-63rd Assembly District) and Senator Andrew Lanza (R-24th Senate District) will host a Secure Shred Event. This event will take place at the Staten Island Mall Sears parking lot, at the corner of Richmond Ave and Platinum Ave between the hours of 12pm-3:00pm. In an effort to help their constituents protect themselves from identity theft, the American Security Shredding Corp will provide on-site paper shredding to dispose of any unwanted confidential documentation you may have.
In honor of Veterans Day, today, Assemblyman Cusick, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce and Applebee’s hosted veterans lunch and announced entry to VETS Discount Program. The announcement took place at Applebee’s 1415 Richmond Ave location, at 1:00pm.
